Cygnus Business Consulting & Research is a global knowledge services organisation with its Head Office in Hyderabad and branch/regional offices in all major metros in India. Cygnus publishes a range of reports on economies, industries and companies. Besides, it takes up research and consulting projects from Companies, Banks, Industries, Trade Associations and Consulates in India and overseas. Cygnus offers knowledge products and research & advisory services to an array of industries in India and overseas. The services offered by Cygnus include Business Research, Credit Research, Equity Research and Advisory Services. Currently, it has over 500 customers from India, Canada, Germany, Singapore, the UK and the US, in all major sectors like banking, insurance, pharmaceutical, biotech, IT and ITES/BPO.
2. CYGNUS INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
2.1 What is Cygnus Internship Programme?
Cygnus Internship is a career oriented hands on programme for MBA / CFA / CA / ICWAI students to build / home practical skills, which help in their career.
2.2 How does Cygnus help Distance learning students of MBA programmes of ICFAI Flexible Learning Programme to get exposure to corporate working environment?
Cygnus has wide and rich experience in providing research and advisory services to companies, industry associations and government organisations. The eligible students will get exposure to do projects in corporate working environment, using structured and planned methodologies under the guidance of Cygnus managers, who have in-depth knowledge in industry and consultancy services. By the time Cygnus Internship Programme is completed (both Basic and Advanced modules), every student would have completed multiple projects and will be in a position to showcase his/her reports to the prospective employer during placement interviews. Their it helps to bridge the gap between not only the ory and product but also between campus programmes & Distance learning programme.
2.3 How is the internship conducted?
The programme is conducted in a workshop mode and is highly interactive and participative. It includes case studies, mock presentations and live projects. Students are also exposed to various methods and techniques of economy analysis, industry analysis, business & financial analysis and company valuation.

3.2 Can I enroll myself for BSPA module i.e. Basic Module after completing first year of my MBA?
It is advisable to enroll for BSPA (Basic Module) just after completion of first year of MBA. It will help the candidate to:
i) Understand the courses completed so far
ii) Understand the practical relevance of these courses
iii) Take an informed decision on the specialization courses
4. EVALUATION & CERTIFICATION
4.1 What will be the process for evaluation of my skills?
Cygnus will evaluate your learning on a continuous basis by way of written tests, viva voce and presentations. The break up of weightage is given below:
- Assignment/ Presentations (60%)
- Attendance/ Class Participation (10%)
- Quiz test for Business awareness (15%)
- Viva-Voce (15%)
You will be given feedback on your performance and the areas for improvement. Cygnus also provides guidance on upgrading your skills.
4.2 Will I get certificate on successful completion of Internship?
Yes, all the successful interns will receive certificates from Cygnus.
5. FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
5.1 Does Cygnus provide food and accommodation facilities during the internship?
No. We do not provide food and accommodation but we do provide the contact numbers of canteens, caterers and hostels available nearby.
5.2 Is there a separate hostel for ladies?
Yes! Separate hostels for ladies are available. A list of empanelled hostels is intimated to the internship students.
5.3 Is it compulsory to stay in hostels?
No. As mentioned above, we only assist you in finding hostels. You are most welcome to make your own arrangements.
